I’m not really into the juice cleanses that everyone is into. I tried one once for 3 hours and it was the worst 3 hours of my eating career. Really, it was torture. I need substance and I need carbs. That being said, I did want to try a juice that would be good for detoxing. I love juices and I think they have some great benefits but I don’t want my only nutritional intake to be juice. I made one today that actually tastes good and has a lot of benefits.
What you need:
- Pure Filtered Water
- Organic Cayenne Pepper
- Organic Lemons
- Sea salt – Unrefined, (Not iodized) or Epsom Salt
- Detox tea – (optional) Some of the lemonade cleanses also call for maple syrup (grade B) but I decided not to add that into mine.
How to make it: (60oz of lemonade)
- Mix 1/2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper powder, 3 lemons – cut in half and the juice added to the water. I added a few pinches of sea salt. (make sure the sea salt is unrefined or not iodized.) I also made 1 pitcher with the detox tea and 1 without. The Detox Tea I got was the yogi ginger tea that supports your digestive system.
