Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil – Oh My!


Many people ask me on a weekly sometimes daily basis how to make their hair healthier.

Obviously “healthy hair” can be defined in several different ways depending on the person. Healthy hair has to be maintained at home. How many times have you went into a salon and got your hair done and left thinking it felt amazing? Probably every time you leave a salon, am I right?

I tell all my clients it has everything to do with how you manage you hair at home.

Using the right products – everything from the shampoo and conditioner to the styling products. It literally KILLS me when I have a client who says “I dont need conditioner”.

Yes you do.

Everyone does..

Shampoo is made to remove oils from your hair and conditioner is made to put back the necessary ones. Using a heat protectant on your hair when it’s wet before drying, curling and ironing you hair is also crucial. Let the heat burn the product – NOT your hair. Makes sense, right?

I wanted to share some oils that have tons of benefits that you probably have at your house.

Castor Oil

  • Leaves hair softer and shinier
  • Softens frizzy hair


I would suggest starting with a small dime size amount of the oil and massage it into the ends to the mid-shaft of your hair. If you get too close to the scalp it can leave your hair looking a bit greasy or heavy.
